Spring Coutoure

It seems weird that Spring will be coming soon considering I just spend an hour shoveling 18 inches of snow. Okay, more like 20 minutes but that's not really the point. Some designers have been coming out with their Spring 2011 Couture lines and they are absolutely fabulous. Couture is one of those things that sometimes cannot be worn but it the most creative of all fashion. Now my favorite, that I've seen so far has got to be Christian Dior's line. Every piece is absolutely beautiful in its own way. From full skirts, to pencil skirts, from taffeta to trains, and just beautiful cuts, the line is unique.

So let's review, shall we? The taffeta peaking out in the shapeless coat dress thing in the first picture is pretty much unwearable but so beautiful! The fading and coloring of red and black is going to be a major  fashion point for spring. A lot of lines had bold colors. The bubble top with pencil skirt bottom is actually wearable! It inspired me to design some wearable garments like it. The full skirt is pretty much my favorite because it is a blast from the past with a modern edge of leather and a sick collar. (Yes, I just said sick.)

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress! The hem stops perfectly at the ankles and the wonderful cute on top sits just right. The fullness, the taffetta, the COLOR, I could go on and on!

Another beauty! I love the asymmetrical cowl neck and the colors going form sheer to light blue to beige.

I would highly advise checking the whole line out because everything is as gorgeous as these pieces.

Once again leaving you with highly priced clothes,

La Couturess
